Welcome to Leicester Business Networking – an independent group running for over 7 years in Leicester!

We are a bunch of local business owners that meet once a month for fun and productive morning of networking over coffee and pastries. Have a browse on this site for more information on our members and our meetings.  We are currently meeting at the Menphys Hub in South Wigston, supporting two local charities – Menphys and Charity Link!

Every month we welcome a number of visitors and we would be delighted to have you join us too.

Simply drop me a line here to see if your profession is available.

Member Spotlight – Anita Baldwin Marketing

I help small businesses get their marketing right to get more customers.  This always starts with getting the basics right – who do you want to attract and what do you do for them?  It sounds simple but so many businesses over-complicate it and when you try to pin it down to one person and one thing it’s really hard.  But if you don’t get that right essentially you are selling loads of stuff to anyone who wants it and it doesn’t matter what channel you use, it won’t work!

3 key areas to focus on in your business to work smarter, not harder!

Those that know me will know that I have a passion for working as efficiently as possible and work with clients to ensure they are not wasting precious time if there is a better way of working. I am a big fan of Sir Dave Brailsford’s Marginal Gains approach whereby if you improve every microscopic part of your business by just 1% you too could be a winner, just like he transformed the Olympic cycling team.

Member Spotlight – Fiona Calder – VivaVA!

Viva VA! was set up last year as I figured the core skills that I had gathered over many years would be of more use and more appreciated by those small businesses and entrepreneurs who struggle to get everything done. Unusually for a VA, I am a qualified CIM marketer, qualified Graphic Designer (although that was looooong ago!) and have a sound business head on my shoulders, in addition to the more traditional skills offered by a VA. I am based in Rutland but have a variety of customers spread in a wide geographical area.
